Foods That Improve Your Focus


Are one the multitudes of people losing focus throughout the day? Do you want to improve this and become more focused and increase your general concentration? Food is the key! Not just any foods however, there are foods that specifically target your brain in order to improve your focus and general mental health.

This is a list of the best foods to improve your focus throughout the day and even ward off dementia long term. So why not start adding some to your diet for a better drain.

Blueberries
Blueberries are packed full of antioxidants that have been shown to activate protective enzymes within your brain. In effect this boosts memory due to the less inhibited brain activity, leaving more of your mind open to focusing on remembering.

The long-term health benefits of blueberries include the potential for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s prevention.  

Frozen blueberries are great, budget friendly way to eat them, why not put a few in your morning cereal? You’re brain will feel the effects of improved concentration and focus in no time!

Green Tea
Green tea contains a healthy dose of natural caffeine. This perfect amount of caffeine is enough to improve your focus but wont cause you to get a caffeine slump or anxiety. Green tea also contains no calories, so the warm drink makes you feel full without the unwanted calories. One of the long term benefits of green tea for your focus is the caffeine is said to also help prevent Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Fish
We always here about how omega 3’s are great for out brains, improving our general focus and concentration, so why are they so great? The powerful Omega 3s improve most the brains general functions, helping not only your focus, but also your memory, your ability to apply yourself and essentially improving your overall brainpower.

Fish with very high levels of Omega 3’s are also said to help eliminate depression and even reduce the risk of heart related health concerns.

Avocado
Avocado is intensely packed full of very healthy fats, not the kind that attach to your body but the kind that love your brain! These fats help your brain with general functions and significantly raise your ability to focus on situations without feeling distracted.
Avocado has also been found to assist with your body’s absorption of other nutrients and also contains a high level of antioxidants. The antioxidant action helps prevent other body aliments such as cancer, heart disease and premature body ageing.
 
Chocolate
Chocolate is a brilliant little food that is filled with antioxidants and is a subtle natural stimulant. Dark chocolates (about 70% cocoa) are great for a little pick-me-up that improves your focus while the other properties of cocoa actually make you feel happier.



Remember Breakfast!
Breakfast is extremely important for improving your focus throughout the day. Your brain needs energy to function, so in staring your body of breakfast you are staring your brain of it’s fuel. Start eating a healthy breakfast and you will instantly feel more focused and mentally ready for your day!
